  21. PROGRAM INFORMATION
  22. -------------------
  23. IC2 is a professional-oriented contact manager for 
  24. Windows 3.1 running in standard or enhanced modes with at least
  25. 2MB of memory.  It can be run on a network and we recommend you
  26. call for our multiuser manager pack for serious file sharing.
  27.

  30. GETTING STARTED
  31. ---------------
  32. Welcome to IC2!  To install, follow these directions:
  33.  
  34. 1.  Copy the IC2 program files to your hard drive, or you
  35.     can install the program from your floppy drive.
  36.  
  37. 2.  Make sure that the file VBRUN300.DLL is either:
  38.       A. In the same place as the IC2 program files, -or-
  39.       B. In your Windows SYSTEM directory, where it can be shared
  40.      with any other Visual Basic Application.
  41.  
  42. 3.  From Windows, run the program SETUP.EXE (from Program 
  43.     Manager select the "Run..." option from the File menu)
  44.  
  45. 4.  Follow the instructions in the install program.  It will 
  46.     allow you to either install to a new directory (i.e. from a 
  47.     diskette) or will just configure in the current location 
  48.     (if you have already copied the files to your hard disk). 
  49.     It will even create a Program Manager group for you if you 
  50.     wish.
  51.  
  52. TECHNICAL SUPPORT
  53. -----------------
  54. If you encounter a problem while using IC2 that 
  55. is not covered in the Help file, you will probably 
  56. need to contact us for user support.  Our support 
  57. policies are as follows:
  58.  
  59. First, make sure IC2 is causing the problem:
  60.  
  61.    A. Check your Windows configuration
  62.    B. Check your printer and print configuration
  63.    C. Try closing any other applications that
  64.       may also be running and try InContact again
  65.    D. Reboot your computer and see if the problem 
  66.       still occurs
  67.  
  68. If none of these produce results, try using the Help
  69. file to locate information about the task you are 
  70. trying to perform.
  71.  
  72. This program requires a basic knowledge of Windows.  
  73. If you are not familiar with Windows, please do not 
  74. contact us unless you're certain the problem you're 
  75. having is related to IC2!
  76.

  96.    1. The make and model of your computer
  97.    2. The type of display
  98.    3. The version number of Windows you are running
  99.    4. The amount of memory your machine has
  100.    5. A detailed account of what you did when using
  101.       IC2 and what happened from your view.

  103. NOTICE: We reserve the right to decline technical 
  104. support to any unregistered user in order to better 
  105. serve our registered customers.

  107. LICENSE INFORMATION
  108. -------------------
  109. As an unregistered user you are granted a limited license period
  110. of 15 days for a free evaluation of this product.  If you 
  111. continue to use IC2 after that point you must register the
  112. program.  If you do not register you must discontinue its use.
  113.  
  114. If you choose to register IC2 you will be granted a permanent 
  115. license on the copy you are currently using.  We also offer a 
  116. professionally printed User's Guide.  In addition, we provide 
  117. all users with unlimited technical support over the phone.

  119. Registration of IC2 is $49 plus $4.95 S&H ($15.00 outside the
  120. US).  Please send a check or money order in US funds for the 
  121. appropriate amount, made out to "CreatiVision Publishing".
  122. We also accept orders by phone or fax if you wish to use your
  123. VISA or MASTERCARD to register.  In all cases, we ask that you
  124. use the order form provided in the program.  If you cannot use
  125. the order form provided, please be sure to include all 
  126. information requested on the order form.

  163.    desireable since they may find it easier to pay for

  209. DISTRIBUTION

  211. We encourage distribution of IC2 but we ask that you follow
  212. these guidelines so that we can both serve our customers
  213. better:

  215. 1. You must have written confirmation of our permission to 
  216.    distribute the program and/or collect any registration fees 
  217.    for it (Call us & we'll send it).  BBS' and online services 
  218.    may distribute WITHOUT permission and are exempt from #4 and
  219.    #5.  No distributor or BBS may accept registration fees on our
  220.    behalf unless they have made arrangements with us.

  222. 2. We ask that you please run our SETUP.EXE when creating an
  223.    install utility for our program.  We get many calls from
  224.    users who used your install and still can't run the program.
  225.    Our Setup must be run to configure the program and create a
  226.    program group.  You are welcome to run our Setup after your

  229.    In addition, this program REQUIRES VBRUN300.DLL which is the 
  230.    Microsoft runtime module for Visual Basic.  This file is 
  231.    freely distributable and is readily available from a variety 
  232.    of sources.  If you received a copy of IC2 directly from
  233.    CVP, we have included a copy of this DLL.  If your shareware 
  234.    library has VBRUN300.DLL, feel free to use it instead of the
  235.    copy we sent.

  237. 3. You may NOT sell IC2 as (or included with) a COMMERCIAL
  238.    or RETAIL product WITHOUT OUR WRITTEN CONSENT.

  240. 4. Do not include IC2 as part of a shareware package UNLESS 
  241.    the other items in the package are augmentive utilities
  242.    for (or relating to) our application (for large collections 
  243.    like CD-ROMS, please get our permission).
